Nail Polish

I am a nail polish addict. I'm sure there are people with bigger collections, but I have a significant amount of polish and am beginning to wonder "how hard can it be to MAKE my own?" I'm not talking frankens (the mixing of pre-existing polishes into a new polish), I'm thinking more along the lines of what Lynnderella does and things. Getting pigments, sparkles, and making it from scratch.
How do people do it?
Does anyone have experience making their own polish? Where do you find supplies?
I'm not really interested in selling nail polish for money, because I might suck at it, but I do want to try to make my own, for myself.
I'd appreciate all the help I can get.

I am obsessing over glitter these days, and now that News Years Eve has come and gone, I've had to come up with a creative way to keep the sparkle alive and kickin. While out shopping today, I found a pair of plain black sneakers that seemed a little too boring for my wardrobe, but before walking away from the buy I had quite the epiphany. I skipped on over to a craft store and bought some tacky glue and glitter, then headed home to start the project.

What you need:
- Ked-like sneakers
- Masking tape
- Craft Glue
- Loose glitter

Final step, love them.

I mentioned before that I got a few glass presses from Zoozii's for Christmas. I want to say first that I really love Zoozii's and I could probably buy almost everything they have! Really great presses, well made, very good quality, and so many to choose from. Love it.

cut for long description about glass presses and pictures of crystal beads! )
