I handmade this shirt for my mom today for Christmas! I didn't have a pattern and I've never actually made a shirt like this in my life, so it's a little strange fitting. Like the armpits lift when I move my arms, but I figure it's a good try. I made one boxy kimono-looking thing a few weeks ago and that was my first clothing item I'd made since I was ten.
But the fabric was stretchy and I thought I'd just wing it. Anyway...It turned out well. It helps when your mother is the exact same size and shape as you, too. I mean...exact same!
I'm not quite finished. I have a collar and two shirtcuffs I made that I will add on. I was inspired by the movie Tristan & Isolde. Isolde's clothing always had knit collars like this and I really like things that look like a mix between contemporary and ancient.
I am planning to make one with this green cotton I have and brown and cream wool.
Also, I have 5 gallons of homemade mead brewing. That's a craft, right?
Sidenote: I woke up at 3 p.m. today. That's how you know it's final exam week. :(

someone get that girl a lute, right?

Here's the stuff for mine. I'm thinking of making it open front like a coat and longer like a tunic.

Here's the lucky woman! Her name is Pearl. :)
