3 things
1. So most people think I'm crazy for doing this, but...I'm already working on my Christmas lists. I'm taking 18 credit hours in the fall, along with college marching band 2 hours every day, and a job, and...lots of other things, so I really need to start now. I've been collecting tutorials and ideas for about a month now from Craftster/various blogs/craftgrrl and have quite a large stash. My question: Would anyone be interested in a master list of all the tutorials I've found as a sort of master gift post?
ETA: this is obviously a popular idea, I'll have it up as soon as possible- hopefully later tonight!!
2. I have a lot of tissue paper. And a lot of buttons. And I've absolutely exhausted my supply of ideas for either of them. Other than decoupage/flowers out of tissue paper, and covering purses/pillows or making magnets out of buttons...what options am I missing???
Some background...I started out with this Craftster tutorial for a crochet octopus. I'd never made anything like this...basically just chains and stuff, but I had to stay up all night and needed something to do. I realized about halfway through that I was crocheting WAY too tightly and had messed up a few times along the way anyways, but decided to stick it out. I realized that since he was so itty bitty (smaller than my index finger) that he would look out of proportion with normal legs, or 8 legs period...so I made two little nubs and made them his legs. Add in 2 HUGE eyes (I couldn't find any of my others) and I think he's pretty adorable. He also has a little tail in the back...his bottom half was a lot looser than his top, and when I tried to gather together the extra, it formed a tail! I think he's rather cute. And the pic was taken with photobooth, which explains the awful quality.
With that said, I present...my duo-pus!!
