Tutorial for Yarn Hair Falls
For anyone who missed the last post and for archiving/memories etc sake here is a short tutorial for making "dread" hair falls. =^___^=
Supplies:
knitting yarn, i chose boucle and regular yarn and used 3 colours
hair elastics, the fabric ouchless ones, about 6" circumference
scissors
a hell of a lot of patience
Step one:
Make a ton of braids (remember they will be folded in half so measure accordingly)
A lot of the braids I made are almost 60" in length before folded.
I believe I have 30 on each elastic but you can adjust according to your liking.
Step two:
Once all the braids are done, you tie them onto the elastic (fold in half then tie in a knot) I didn't tie mine super tight just in case I had to remove one, which I did end up doing.
Step three:
The twists are two braids wrapped around one another. Once that is done, wrap a contrasting colour around the braids in the opposite direction, that is key!!
Tie the ends together and voila!! You have yourself some yarn falls!!
*Photos may not be work safe as I am not wearing a shirt but you only see me from the back*
