A Sparrow in the Rain

I started working on this quilt back in November of 2009 when I was experiencing a bout of depression. The quilt's construction and quilting, explore mental illness as a whole and depression in particular.






The back is a single piece of silk taffetta:

This is the entire quilt, composed of solid silks, silk paisely, satin, Japanese cotton sateen.
