Lucky Cat Pendants Maneki Neko
Been working on some lucky cat pendants and I am loving how they are turning out. I first did several where the cats looked more realistic then decided to try a few that were more traditional in colors and did one in blue, one in purple and one in orange and black for Halloween. I can't decide which I like the best. Each cat is made out of Clay and Hand painted and sealed with three coats of in indoor outdoor sealer. The cats alone without the bail and drops measure 1 3/4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches wide.
This is a group shot of all the ones I have done so far, the Orange and black one for Halloween is in progress and not finished yet an has a glow in the dark moon on his chest.
The Maneki Neko literally "Beckoning Cat"can also be knows as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Money cat, or Fortune Cat and is a common Japanese sculpture which is believed to bring good luck to the owner. The sculpture depicts a cat beckoning with an upright paw, a raised left paw supposedly attracts money, and wealth

I love how soft this blue lucky cat looks, underneath are some bells and gold coin charms as well as a tiny silver hand charm that I bought just cause they are so cute

here is a group shot of the cats that I did in fun colors.

This one I painted to look my cat Eddie so that I can take him with me everywhere!

This kitty was inspired by a grey cat that I know I love his green eyes.

Here is orange kitty lucky cat for Halloween, inside the black heart on his chest is a tiny glow in the dark crescent moon, the tips of his claws glow in the dark as well.

pretty purple Lucky Cat Ornament!

This one is done in Siamese colors and was painted to look like a stray cat we have been feeding
