inside jokes applique

i'm more or less capable in most textile techniques but text applique is very quickly becoming my favourite mode of bizarro expression.
[please excuse the photos - i received a nikon d3100 recently and am still working it out]
it all started with watching some of of musov shoko's short 'films'. as it turns out, he was not the brain behind 'fantastic hey hey hey' so i made him my own personal judas.
cotton, poly, and felt applique with glass and plastic beads on my Strand tote bag.
most recently i made this chicken karma tshirt as a post-xmas treat to myself. i knit socks for most of my family this season and watched many many episodes of Sif and Olly while doing so. i think the heart of glass / chicken karma skit is my favourite so i made this up with felt on an old tshirt.
do any of you girls make crafts for the sole reason of making yourselves laugh? what do you make that is the most ridiculous inside joke?
i'm going to try and make sock puppets for my next semester's studio class.
