craftgrrl | Sewing machine height

I'm very excited about our new apartment. We decided to use the giant master bedroom for the office, which means I will have a desk to leave my sewing machine set up on ALL the time!

Now my question is, how high should I set the adjustable legs? It's galant from Ikea, so I can set it to just about any height. In the past, my back and shoulders have always gotten sore from setting at the machine. When I set it higher (on my old desk), my shoulders got sore from raising my arms up to the machine. When I set it lower (on my old kitchen table) to appease my shoulders, my back and neck got sore from looking down at the machine. There seems to be no happy medium! Any advice?
