Homemade Wedding Veil
Aug. 14th, 2003 07:27 pmAfter trying on several veils at the bridal store yesterday, and seeing that they were $1-200, I quickly decided that I will need to either purchase one on Ebay or fabricate my own...
The problem is, this is a daunting task for me! I am a perfectionist, and this is for my wedding, so it has to be absolutely fabulous!
What I want is an elbow-length, 2-tiered ivory veil, wide enough to frame over my shoulders but not poofy, attached to ONLY a little hair clip (I'll get a headpiece separately), and with a thin ivory rattail cording around the edges.
Can anyone offer me any general advice or links on how to make such a thing? I KNOW it can't be difficult enough to warrant paying $100 for someone else to do it! Heh... I just don't know where to begin.
