recycled skirt

craftgrrli just saw this skirts on a website that we made out of recycled pants. but, not just the cut up inseam and put in a panel type of skirt. this cut off the legs completely a little below the hips then opened up the legs and they were used as the front on back panel with extra fabric for the sides. i really want to attemp this with old pants but has anyone else ever made one of these? any tips? do you even know what the crap i'm describing?
