I just cleaned out my yarn stash -- down from 6 huge plastic tubs to 5 which could easily be 3 or 4 with a little more culling. I put some of it up for auction on eBay and thought I'd post it in case any of you crafty ladies are interested. I'll cut you a deal on shipping if you want/win something and let me know you're from here. : )

Sorry for the cross-post, I try not to solicit much 'cos it makes me feel sleazy. : )

Sorry for the cross posting, but I wanted to get this out of the way.

Check out my website for stuff that I've done recently. Click here. Then click on the "tour" link, then click on the "...crafts..." link!

if so, can you suggest some good craft (supply) stores?

thanks!

hi everyone. i'm a pretty quiet community member.. but i absolutely love looking at everyone's creations! i've gotten so inspired by them!!!

i have a question about those altoid tin boxes. a while ago someone posted how they decorated them and put little things inside. they looked so amazing. i wanted to try decorating one and putting a little clay heart on the inside and give it to someone special. so here is my question: what glues and paints work well with the tin?? i was considering using mod podge and then using krylon crystal clear on the top of it all to seal it in.

what do you guys think?!

thank you!!
love, stacy

not only did i have to type all of this again, since the internet hates me and wants to delete everything that i just typed, but i accidently just posted it in my own journal... let's get it right this time!

so anyways, i am now the proud owner of a pasta machine! (for those of you who aren't aware, them things are mighty useful in getting nice, flat, even sheets of polymer clay.) finally, i have a job, so i have a means to pay for it, and my job also sells the things! (i work at bed bath & beyond, i just went to a new, larger store and was finally able to buy one!) maybe this will give me the motivation to get cracking on making some super-awesome polymer clay stuff (and maybe even post in that [livejournal.com profile] claymaker community that i set up...)

i also got a really awesome origami book (you can make origami nail clippers and an origami swiss army knife!!) and a really cool beading book (it tells you how to make a mini-picnic set, complete with basket, cloth, wine bottle, and loaf of bread!!) at a new barnes & noble. if you wish to know the titles, just comment and i'll tell you. too lazy to do that now...

what i've been up to recently... )

I got a sewing machine! It was in my Amazon Gold box and I couldn't resist. It's Simplicity Creative Spirit Plus model SA2200.

I haven't sewn anything since high school, so any tips or advice would be appreciated.
