I have some paint on my leather jacket. Any ideas to take them out without ruining it?
Thanks!

I made a CD Holder for my girly Christina for graduation. Here's a picture of the front and back.--

http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b33f27f58477

This was the easiest craft I've done in forever.

You will need:
-Felt.
-A needle and thread.
-Some kind of glue that binds felt to felt (Sobo doesn't work, I used silicone sealer just because it was in front of me.)

1. Trace a cd case and cut several pieces of felt in this shape (how many you cut will determine how many CDs you can fit in the case, I personally used 4 pieces so my case holds 5 CDs).

2. Cut another piece of felt at double the length, this will be your CD holder cover.

3. Wrap the felt pieces in the cover and sew up both sides leaving the top open for CDs.

4. Decorate however you like, I personally traced letters (Courier Old) and stars (wing dings) off of my computer and glued the felt cut-outs on.)

Enjoy!

So there's this grrrl I have a crush on. I want to make her some little gifts to show I think she's special and beautiful and to show I make for a caring grrrlfriend.

Ahem, er, so any ideas on what I could make her? She loves butterflies, so I'm thinking of giving her a babydoll nightgown with butterflies on it, some butterfly hair clips, and a mix cd of all songs that include butterflies and bees...

i figured since i'm part of this community i should contribute more. well..i'm not the craftiest person in the world but i do little things.

such as this project:
covering plain old 97 cent composition notebooks with various fabrics. i think i did a good job. i made one for myself and stuck googly eyes, and wrote on it with some fabric paint. because i don't have any cool toys to play with i used the frabic glue to glue the babric to the notebook. i wonder if it will stay for years? it's stayed for the two weeks i've had it. i also made one for my grandmother for mothers day. on hers i put two strips of the frabic under a googly eye so that she coudl tie it closed. hehe.
the frabics i have were fairly cheap and a yard is way more than enough. the googly eyes cost very little for a nice sized pack. and then the notebooks are less than a dollar. the frabric glue was i think less than 2 bucks. a cheap little craft. :)

i wish i had a camera so i could take a picture. i plan on doing lots more of these things and adding verious little do-dads as i go. i was thinking of making one using family pictures. i think that'd be a cool one.

something else:
question: has anyone here seen the free aol disks that are in cd case sized packets? they're not the aol tins, their cardboard, or something, that is filmy. very smooth, filmy, plastic feeling. i picked them up at a grocery store. i think they'd be fun to decorate but this filmy outside scares me. i'm wondering if i'd have to scratch the surface a little to get things to stick to it, or if i should just cover it up with frabric or something?

wings!

Referring to my last post about what to make for a grrrl I have a crush on who likes butterflies, I got the best idea ever.

HOW DO YOU MAKE BUTTERFLY/FAERIE WINGS?

I've always wanted to make myself a pair anyway.

Any links and pictures to people selling wings, wings that have already been made, etc. that I can use as a guide are appreciated too.

Hi all! First time poster, long time lurker here...

I was hoping all you fine folks could help me out. If I wanted to spray-coat some stale Peeps [y'know, the Easter candy chicken things...] with a clear substance that would dry quickly, be inexpensive and still maintain most of the sugar-coated texture, what would you recommend I use? I need something to use on things like this that would allow me to paint over the clear coating with ease. Suggestions that would also work on stale Twinkies would be cool too.

Thanks all!

Check out what my girlfriend just got finished making.

I keep telling her that she should make these and sell them at craft fairs and stuff, but she says that they take a while to make, and the material is expensive (corduroy). She has another one, a purse, made from brown corduroy...it looks fabulous as well.

So proud to have such a talented girl :)

So, how many of you would buy something like this if you saw it at a craft fair/store? I need some of you to give her some confidence that people would want something like this, because she thinks that nobody would...thank you all for your time. :)

I just now saw below that someone was in need of T-shirts for a quilt, and oh the irony, I think I've decided to make one too... Only problem is I need T-shirts. Anyone who has any German T-shirts, I could really use them!

Hilf mir! )

So how did everyone like the Martha Stewart movie?

I just wanted to give Norma a hug the whole time.

I was annoyed with my pins always falling out of the box they came in, so I took some scrap fleece, made a rectangle sewed it with one end left open, filled it with rice, then closed the end, yay, pincushion!

some time ago a post was made about a harness somebody made. in the post was a link to an lj community about crafty sex stuff...can anybody point me in the direction of this community? i can't find the post in the memories =/

Okay, this is sort of off topic, and I really do apologize. There is someone in this community (or at least someone who has posted here, I think) that has an icon of a picture I really love, and I want to know ehre I can find it. The picture is of two girls kissing and they both have piercings I think and ugh, you'd know it if you saw it, but it's hard to describe. Any help?
