This is the one I am working on now. I don't have much more to do. This was taken before I got the clasp and fringe on. I just have a few more detail beads to add.

Hi girls! I have a problem with my jewelry. The boxes I find either look horribly cheap or they aren't big enough for all my stuff. I want to make something or put things together that would help organize my mess.

I don't have a ton of jewelry, but do have a LOT of rings and necklaces. I have more rings then I know what to do with. I have a vanity dresser I will be putting in my room soon and wanted to use the top drawer for my jewelry. It's not a DEEP drawer so it wouldn't work for clothes thats why I thought of using it for something else.

What can I use to hold everything nicely? I like the idea of little cube sections, almost like a grid across the whole drawer with little square cups I could put everything in but wasn't sure where to find something like that. I don't want to use those plastic craft bead boxes. I'm thinking wood organizers (I've seen some somewhere but can't remember for the life of me) I can put felt on the bottom of or those little spice tins with clear lids I can also put felt bottoms.

My necklaces would need to be in their own little area too so they don't tangle.

If you kind of have what I'm thinking of doing can you show me a photo? I need inspiration. Also if you know of good nice looking organizers I can put in my drawer and where I could buy them either by ordering or actually going there that would be GREAT! P.S. if you know of something at IKEA that would be even better since the furniture in our apartment is pretty much ALL IKEA. LOL.

One of my friends is a Lord of the Rings fan, so I made her this decoupage Gollum birthday card

Sorry for the text-only... I'll keep it short, and post pictures once it's done. My dear friend is getting married tomorrow, and the theme is 1940's. I'm making a cake for the after-party, and I'd like to carve it into something iconic of the time. Do you have any suggestions? It's sort of a gangester, prohibition-theme thing.

today i wasn't as sleepy as i have been, so i put my entire stash of art supplies to good use. i had a small book from the dollar tree that had lots of potential. i took it apart and painted the cover and added my personal touches to the nice, stiff pages:

i used bubble wrap and textured paper to create depth and patterns.

Hey guys! I just have a question about braided rugs. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, here's an example.
But that's not really a good example. I know them because my great grandmother used to make them all the time-our family has dozens of them scattered about. She used to make them from my great grandpa's old suits and ties. They were much more randomly colored than that picture, and I personally like that a lot more. ANYWAY, I finally figured out how to make one with some help from my Generation T book and the internets, but I could use some help as it is taking forever.
Has anyone here made a rug like this before? If so, do you have any tips or suggestions that could help, or perhaps make the process go faster? I am using bits and pieces from old clothing, if that helps at all.
Thanks in advance!
