I have about 8 billion yards of some really nice, pretty, fabric ribbon, that's about 2.5 inches wide. I bought it because I found it (as in the whole damn roll) in the thrift store, and for .50 cents, if it looks like a craft supply, it's mine. That said: I have no earthly idea what to do with this stuff. Anyone have suggestions?

I have a sewing machine and I'm not afraid to use it, but I don't know how many things I can possibly border with it, and I do not quilt often enough, or seriously enough, to use it as binding.

My mom found an ugly brown ottoman on Black Friday for $10. I recovered it as a Christmas present for my brother. I kind of love it. XD

My mom mailed me a ton of boxes filled with stuff from my childhood. While digging through them I found a stack of my old (we're talking twenty five years old, at least) t-shirts. This one was my all time favorite when I was little- I can clearly remember wearing it day in and day out. So I decided to sew up the neck and arm openings, stuff it, and then sew the bottom. VOILA, extra sofa pillow. I know it is a little lumpy and misshapen right now, but the fluff will break up/even out with use. Yay.

This time it worked! Now I know not to tie on the netting too tight!  :)
The blue is bright against the black not not THAT bright. Too bad...
I still like it though. :)

Do any of you crafters see any reason I shouldn't be able to use acrylic paint to make handprints and footprints of my 2-week-old little boy? I have one of those plaster handprint kits I'm going to use, but I'd like to make more than just that, so I was going to carefully paint the bottoms of his hands and feet and put them on cardstock. I want to do it soon before he grows too much, and I was hoping to use the paint I have on hand since I can't drive yet.

Thanks for any information you can give me! Also if there is a more appropriate community for this question, please direct me there. =)

I was wondering if any seamstresses could help me, I'm having trouble inserting a zipper into a dress with a gathered skirt. Do you have any tips on inserting it neatly so it doesn't interefere with the gathers? Here's a terrible paint diagram if that helpsclick )

So a friend of mine is attempting to make an expansion onto a bunny cage. She glue fun fabric to plywood and is now attempting to glue plastic shelf liner to said fabric. She's tried an assortment of different glues from watered down elmer's glue to silicon glue. Any suggestions on adhesives?
