little blunders to little wonders
a few days ago,
goddessofpurple posted a link to cute little party lights. decided to try to make them today.
i couldn't find any ping pong balls anywhere. (which i found extremely hard to believe.) but i found several packages of practice golf balls- like ping pong balls, but with lots of little holes in them. i didn't think they would work, but they were so cheap, i at least wanted to try.
i painted them in splotches of gold and red. when i inserted the mini lights, they looked absolutely garish. the holes in the golf balls showed waaaay too much of the white inside.
after a few hours of pouting, i stumbled upon an old bag of clear faceted pony beads. mmmm, idea...
i dug out my glue gun and glued those suckers into the holes... and ...sigh... they are so groovy!
i'll post pictures when i have a chance.
