craftgrrlI have a [free] subscription to seventeen and YM. Anyway, I got my first issue of YM today and was EXTREMELY excited when I saw that on the "things to want" article in the back, and also part of the "win it" contest, is a learn-to-knit kit, and 23 people (or is 20; i can't remember) are going to be winning it.
Now, I'm not a knitter, I'm a crocheter (although I'm going to send a postcard to them and cross my fingers and see if maybe I can win a free kit lol). But I just want to say that it is pretty damn awesome that this is in a magazine and perhaps people will say "wow, knitting IS cool" (or crocheting lol because when they go to buy knit stuff they'll see crochet stuff too) and see it as a non-granny-only thing to do. :)
