t shirt bags

i had another idea today about making christmas presents for my younger cousins. there is a very popular store near me having a sale on t shirts with cute slogans on them 3 for 10 bucks. i thought of buying them and making one of these kinds of bags with it. has anyone made one of these bags? i made one but it was for myself so i was pretty ghetto about it. i used shoelaces as the cords. i want to know what other types of cords i could use that would be cuter than shoelaces lol. also i want to line it with another fabric so that the bag doesn't sag down when there's stuff in it due to the stretchyness of tshirt material. what kind of fabric should i use?
