Beaded Vase
I found in the spring 2002 edition of Quick & Easy Decorating "Better Homes & Garden" a beautiful and EASY beaded vase...(sorry I dont have a picture, but everyone in this community is creative enough to have a vivid imagination)
ok anyways....basically all you do is take any type of clear glass vase with a smaller neck...they suggest using a vintage milk bottle (i find these all of the time at goodwill) then to embellish the bottle, select a variety of beads (they use glass) then you string the beads onto beadwire, occassionally wrapping the wire around the bead to anchor it, and leaving some to slide, and then you wind the beaded wire around the neck of the bottle, (like wrapping a necklace around your wrist) and then twist the ends together...it ends up being VERY pretty...and then they have a single flower in the vase that matches the beads...its very spring! i love it...im stopping by the craft store tonight on my way home so I can give this as a gift to a friend! ill let everyone know how it turns out!
