craftgrrl | must have been my blue period

i made a camera bag for my digital camera. blue vinyl, magazine picture covered with clear vinyl, lined with velour, and slightly padded. i haven't made the closure yet, but it will probably be velcro.

A sketchbook made out of an old hardcover book, I Capture The Castle T-shirt, and a painting.

i got a pile of old hardcover books for 10cents a piece at the library. i gutted it (non-technical term i'm sure), then sewed signatures of blank white paper together using the coptic stitch (or reasonable facsimile there-of), and voila--a new hardcover journal. i can't wait to do the Trail of the Abominable Snowman book.

i felt bad for taking the original pages out, but i've saved them because i'm a packrat. perhaps zine pages in the future. by the way, i got the instructions here.

I Capture the Castle shirt i made for

sceptre's band. I dyed on shirt, altered it to fit, cut the sleeves off, sewed sleeves from another shirt on, and printed the CD cover on to iron on transfer paper.
