About two weeks ago my computer got a virus that tragically blocked me from the internet. So I was forced to find other things to do with my time on nights I couldn't sleep for a week. These are the results of those nights :)

I got this fabric way back in Febuary for a birthday gift from my mom. I finally got around to buying the pattern for a cute pair of pajama pants at the start of summer vacation but put off sewing them together until a few weeks back due to my fear of sewing (this was my first sewing project). For a first attempt, I'm pretty proud of how they turned out.

I found this pretty pink pattern on clearance for only $2 a yard and couldn't help myself from buying about three yards of it. I've made several sewing projects with it and still have some left over!

This was the first thing I made from the fabric. The pattern was really easy, basically two pieces of material sewed together. Once it was finished it looked to plan to me so I sewed the lace trim on by hand (ironically, the lace trim cost almost as much per yard as the fabric did).

I didn't have anything to wear with the skirt so I made this matching shirt. Sorry, I only have a image of the back of the shirt. It was the only one that turned out and I'm to lazy to take an more. This was alot more difficult than the skirt was, especially since it didn't fit as well as I wanted and I had to modify the pattern slight to get it to fit my boobs and not look completely crappy.

Even after the shirt I still had material left over so I used the bigger scraps to make this adorable skirt. The black material was found on clearance for about $1.50 a yard (if you hadn't noticed I'm in love with the clearance items). I modified a simple skirt pattern I bought and added the ruffles to the bottom to give it a more girlie look. I still had a good amount of lace left over from the first skirt I made so I sewed it by hand along the line were the pink and black material meet. The skirts comes to just above my knee.

My lastest and favorite project. Again, it's clearance material that I found well I was shopping at a local hobby store. The quality of the pictures doesn't do the material justice. It's strips, dark green ones with white boxs and then light green with cute little cherrys.
I used a similar design to the first skirt in making this one, using red material to bring out the cherrys in the pattern. I would have prefered to have done a drawstring on the skirt but I've yet to figure out how to do a button hole with my mom's sewing machine so I settled with elastic again. I used a thinner elastic than I had before ( 1/4' instead of 1/2') and it turned out alot better (it's easier to hide under a shirt than the other)
