Black skirt with kimono print panel front

I finally got round to fixing the tension on the ancient family sewing machine. Thank you to all who suggested various remedies previously!

Presenting the plain black cotton skirt with kimono fabric (scrap from my bag-making days) as a front panel.

It has a double elastic waistband around the back to keep it from falling to my knees, and will probably save me much embarassment if my stitching sucks and one of the elastic bands decide to burst on me... which in all probabilities will happen.

Definately will be coupled with a plain black top for work tomorrow. =^_^=

Note: Done without pattern or guide.
