craftgrrl | Easy-to-use knit sweater patterns

I just found this community I think last week, and I'm already pretty happy with it.

I'm posting myself with a question to all the knitters out there:

Does anyone know of any really simple sweater patterns for a beginner knitter? I've got the knit and purl stitch down cold, but I'm still trying to ramp up to reading patterns. One that doesn't involve cable stitches would be preferred right now.

Websites, books to buy, etc. would be the best advice, unless someone wants to type up their favorite pattern in a comment. :)
