Quilt question
Hey, does anybody quilt out there?
I need some help. I am using "simply cotton" (kinda like warm and natural) as my batting on a quilt. Usually I do crazy quilts without a batting so this is my first experience. My question is this.....I have finished both the front and back of the quilt. I washed all of the fabric before I started sewing to get rid of shrinkage....here's the problem, this "simply cotton" says I need to hand wash it in the tub to get rid of the shrinkage. I only have a shower......can i do the batting without washing it first, and if I do, will it completely distort the quilt when it gets washed later?
