Yup, here's another brain buster from the Mayzface!
For my birthday I received a pair of 20 hole (knee high) Dr. Martens boots. I absolutely love them, but the darn laces and way too short and the store doesn't have any bigger sizes. Trust me, my fist is shaking. I tried to deal with the shortness, but it is just not working out. The laces only reach the 15th hole, and I want them to reach the top and wrap a couple times. So today I went to the shoe repair store that was recommended by the Dr. Martens store, and a new pair of custom sized laces is 10 bucks. Now, I know I'm asking for a lot of boot lace, but that seems really spendy, considering a pair of 180 cm laces cost about 3 dollars, and I only need 210. Soooo...!
Is there any way that I could make my own boot laces? These are hardcore boots, so they have to be tough. I don't mind paying 10 bucks but I just can't afford it right now because, as Pee Wee says, "Christmas is the time to be thinking of others."
Thanks so much!
