Converse shoes

Hello:
I am not sure if anyone has covered this question or not, but I have a pair of bright red converse high tops, and the color just doesn't do it for me anymore. Not sure why.

Anyways, has anyone ever bleached converse and re-dyed them? Do you think if I were to put them in some bleach and wait a bit, they might turn a light peach/reddy-pink color?
If anyone has done anything to alter the color of their converse can you post?

I need ideas, otherwise I guess I can live with bright red ones haha.
