Hello everyone! My internet connection was knocked out for almost three days. After I managed to uncurl myself from the fetal position, I was SO productive. I managed to clean my entire room, both my closets, my bathroom, my craft supplies, and do some sewing. I also watched obscene amounts of TV, but you know, we gotta waste time somewhere. Anyway, I just wanted to share my latest projects!
These are just some of my favorites.
I LOVE THIS FABRIC! This was for my mom's coworker's daughter, who likes bright colors. I almost said "Screw you kid, I'm keeping this one." But my greedy little eyes went $ and I handed it over. But I was sad about it.
I treated the fabric with glitter spray, so it's got this cool shimmer effect going on. I lurve this fabric! I got it at a fancy-pants decorator fabric store. They had some cool stuff, but at many $ a yard, I couldn't afford to buy too much.
This one also sold immediately. I made one, and Mom took it to work. I never saw it again. She brought back orders for two more, so I finally got a picture of it! Polka dots = fun. $2 a yard at Wally World.
I LOVE this fabric. I love way too many fabrics, actually. But this stuff is super sweet. I think tortoise-shell handles would have looked better, but I didn't have any, so the bamboo it was.
This fabric is so gorgeous, but lord was it a PITA to work with. I can't tell you how many pieces I ruined trying to put on the interfacing... I'm also afraid it will snag and look ugly after being used for a few days. But the fabric itself is nice. :)
This one is my current pride and joy! This is the "Hermione" bag in honor of the new Harry Potter book. It's bigger than the other purses, though you can't really tell because I forgot to put in my cell phone for scale. It's this fun wizardy fabric and I put black beads and sequins all over it to make it sparkle a bit. The next project is going to be a "Spiderella" bag. I have this kick-ass red and black spiderweb fabric that I'm going to bead all over.
Anyway, that's all for now. I'm stepping up the production pace so that I can put some things up for sale on my website, once I get the online merchant thing figured out.
As always, thanks so much for looking! :)
