Kanoko Shibori Deer
Tonight, I made a deer!
I was out of felt and pom-poms...so I had to finish him off with beads instead. I used purple kimono fabric for the body and a teal/green coloured kanoko shibori silk for the accents. It is a little wonky, but practice makes perfect, I guess.

Cool little fact – the word kanoko literally means "child of deer" – it is believed that the dots look like the dots on the back of a fawn – hence the name, kanoko shibori. Rather suitable, considering what the little guy is :]
