fantastic pin
this weekend i bought a fantastic pin, made by a neighborhood artist. the pin is a real slice of orange with some purple glitter on it and a hearty coat of shellac. the rind isn't shellacked but it seems dried and sealed. i find it absolutely amazing. she also makes pins from slices of pear and apple (with stems), key limes, summer squash. and i guess she makes earrings, cuff links, belt buckles too. the pins were $25 (key limes $15) in a neighborhood shop. it's my new favorite thing.
the pin i love
