jumping on the knifty knitter train
I got a knifty knitter about 2 weeks ago and I LOVE it!!! I've made a baby blanket and hat for my little great nephew (but no pics of it) :( I've also made a few hats and scarves that I havent gotten around to taking pics of yet.. but my fav thing that I've made is my dog cat sweater!!!!
My cat, Martini, actually liked wearing the sweater.. He kinda just chilled and walked around in it for a while.. But Martini's a laid back cat that doesnt really mind anything LOL I only made the sweater to see if I could make it and so Martini can be cute on our christmas cards LOL!! I wouldnt dare try this on any of our other cats.. they aren't as laid back :P It was hard to get Martini to stay still, so I dont have a good shot of the whole sweater. I used a pattern I got from the KniftyKnitterLooms Yahoo Group..I can email it to anyone that wants it that doesnt have yahoo.. or if a lot of people want it.. I guess I can post it.. Since alot of people have asked for the pattern.. Here it is:

What You Need:
Yellow KK loom
Looming tool
1 skein 4-ply worsted weight yarn
(I used Bernat Camouflage)
Tapestry needle
Buttons
Crochet hook
Instructions:
Using 2 strands held together as one, make a slip knot and attach the yarn to peg 6
E-wrap 31 pegs
Turn on peg 31 and e-wrap back to peg 6 – knit off (this is row 1)
Knit 13 rows, then bring up the beginning loops (like making a hat brim) and knit off
Knit 1 row
Begin increasing rows:
Take the loop farthest from the working yarn and move it to the empty peg beside it
E-wrap back to this loop and knit off all pegs with 2 loops
Continue increasing 1 peg each row until all pegs are used
Knit 2 more rows using all pegs
Create the leg opening:
Using the tapestry needle and a scrap piece of yarn, take the loops off pegs 15 thru 27
Tie the ends of the scrap piece of yarn together so that the loops don’t fall off
(You’ll come back and finish off this section later)
You now have 2 sections of 14 wrapped pegs
Knit 4 rows in the first section, then cut the yarn, leaving a long tail
Leaving a long tail, make a slip knot and attach the yarn to peg 1
Knit 4 rows in this section
Wrap all the pegs and knit off those with 2 loops
Knit for 2 inches
Begin decreasing rows:
Turn on peg 1 and e-wrap to peg 20, then knit off
Turn and e-wrap back to peg 1, then knit off
Turn on peg 1 and e-wrap to peg 19, then knit off
Turn and e-wrap back to peg 1, then knit off
(Continue in this manner to peg 12)
Anchor the yarn and cut it, leaving a long tail
Leaving a long tail, make a slip knot and place it on peg 21
E-wrap to peg 41, then knit off
Turn and e-wrap back to peg 21, then knit off
Turn and e-wrap back to peg 41, then knit off
E-wrap 19 pegs, then knit off
Turn and e-wrap back to peg 41, then knit off
(Continue in this manner – decreasing 1 peg each time – down to 12 pegs)
Cast off using the crochet hook and the flat removal method, beginning at peg 41
Use this same process to finish off the leg opening
Weave in all loose ends
Attach buttons to one edge
