PROJECT IDEA:Elegant Cork Board - using sheet music
I found this while flipping through the latest Ballard Designs catlogue. This would be SO easy to reproduce WITHOUT the stiff $288.00 price tag.
As the description says:
What better place to post your notes than this elegant corkboard covered in them? Antiqued reproduction sheet music is decoupaged over cork and held in a lovely, gold composition frame.
I'm sure you can find old sheet music at thrift stores. If not... use new ones and tea stain them. Decoupage them over cork board (found at most craft stores) and frame it with an interesting from found at thrift stores. I estimate you could make it for under $20 with the right findings.
I will definitely be trying this out. I'll be sure to post pics when it's finished!
