last weekend's scrapbooking convention *pics!*

Last Saturday, my mom, Rainy, and I all went to the Scrapbooking Expo in Rosemont. Didn't participate in any of the cropping events or classes being held, just went mainly for the vendors (mmm...shopping). I've been to this one a couple years in a row, and I have to say, they're nearly impossible to describe unless you've been to one before. But they are SO definitely worth going to. Not only do you learn about fun new products you never would have known about...there are also people there that are eager to teach you how to use things, there are free demos (and sometimes you get free stuff too!), there are discounts galore...you get to meet scrapbookers from your area...you learn about scrapbooking stores in your area. The wealth of scrapbooking (and rubber stamping) knowledge at these is just indescribable. I love going, and every year I wish I had more time (and money).

I wish I could tell you more about it. Instead I offer some measly pictures of the event, in the hopes that you can get some idea of what it's like. I have no pics of the stuff I bought, but I got some really neat papers...a template for making the kaleidoscope-style pages...some shrinky dink paper (in BLACK! I didn't know it came in black, hehe)...some really adorable stickers (cooking being the theme, since I AM a Pampered Chef consultant, lol)...can't even remember what else. hehe. Anyway, here are my pics:
here are some upcoming shows, maybe even in your area!
