Cross Stitch

Hello everyone

So I used to cross stitch a lot when I was younger and after picking up this great Billabong hoodie that has a cross stitched skull on it, I decided I would like to try making my own but I have some questions.

1)I've never cross stitched any clothing before. How do I go about transferring a complex pattern onto clothing? I would like to make my own pattern for it though. I found a link in the memories about a printable graph paper. Does anyone in here use photoshop/illustrator to make their own pattern?

2)When stitching clothing, is there anything different you have to do or use? I don't know what I'm talking about, just something I may not know!

3)ANY advice would be wonderful. I would use my hoodie as a reference but it's reversible so I can't see what the back of the stitching looks like.

Thanks in advance everyone.

oh! also- I read in the memories about some people using string to mark off their lines and stuff, but I sometimes have a problem with keeping my stitching uniform if I'm only counting.
