Felt passport holder

So here is my generic, long-time lurker, first-time poster post. I've been so inspired by all of your lovely craft things. I only wish I had some of the amazing sewing/crafting/modeling talent you guys have. I'm starting simple and trying to take advantage of my new-ish sewing cabinet my grandma gave me. I'm working on an oh-so-popular t-shirt quilt now, which I will probably ask about later but I wanted to show you guys something old I made.

I made this for my friend Antha for her birthday last year. She is crafty as well, with "real" craft skills I do not possess. She is wonderful and one of my best friends. She loves to travel, so I made her this for her passport.

I was inspired by the buttons I found at JoAnn's - see the closure. That's how I got to the silhouette cover. It's all felt and hand-sewn.

The front cover and side ribbon that I also love, which my Mom just happened to have in her sewing box.

The button that started it all. I have them in red as well. I'm still waiting to use those.

Passport area detail. "N" is my initial, so she wouldn't forget me when she was on her grand adventures in Europe.

Other pocket details.
I should also say that I blatantly stole the idea for this from another craftgrrl almost 2 years ago. I looked for it in the memories to credit him/her but I couldn't find it. If this looks like your felt wallet (yours has a squid/octopus on it) then thank you for the idea!
