Modge Podge substitute?

Hello lovely and crafty ladies (and gentlemen!)

I'm screenprinting up a storm today, but I've just ran out of Modge Podge to paint on my negative spaces. I'm wondering if there's any substitute to use that I might have around the house? Some slightly watered down tacky glue, perhaps?
