craftgrrl | embroidery machines?

do any of you lovely people happen to have any opinion as to what a good, solid embroidery machine would be? i'm looking for a good machine that can handle lots of work since i'd be incorporating embroidered designs in kidpirate gear, but i also can't break the bank.
