[identity profile] sandpaperdream.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
Hey everyone :) I'm a somewhat recent addition to your craftgrrl group. I've been crafting for years. I was in Girl Guides of Canada (brownies, guides, pathfinders, etc.) and we did lots of craft projects, my mom was also into creative crafts. I got hooked on the bug somewhere along the line :)

Currently I'm going to the Illinois Institute of Art Schaumburg, majoring in Multimedia and Web Design. It's an art school yes, but it's kinda corporate - not the typical arts flair you'd expect from a college that specializes in art. It's a decent education though, and I can't complain.

In the future I hope the be designing webpages for income (probably for some company in the Chicagoland area or somewhere nearby) but my true passion will always lie within the DIY arts field, and fine arts. Which is what I do in my free time.

I also enjoy horseback riding (dressage!!), hip hop and jazz music as well as many more, fast cars, and learning about anything and everything I possibly can!!

I'm sorry that I'm a really bad typer and my grammer stinks but I will try so that it is legible! I'm better when I'm writing on paper by far :) Anyways, enough intro crap! I wanted to show you guys my Ghetto Christmas Special that I made as a last minute holiday gift :)

It's a glass jar, metal wire and a candle. It's supposed to be a shelf lantern candle holder dealy. The metal wire is wrapped around the glass jar, and the candle placed inside.

Simple, under $5.00, unqiue and uhm...ghetto? :) I know it's not that terribly special or really unique, but the people I'm giving them too are people who are on my Christmas list for the first time this year (My supervisor who's super sweet, and a lady who lives with my boyfriends mom who I've spent alot of time with this past year)

Anyways, that's all :) Goodnite everyone and have a Happy Holiday season!!
