Hi All! I've been lurking here for quite a while, enjoying and being inspired by everyone's creativity and talent. Well, I was uploading a ton of photos of my craft projects to my flickr page this morning and I thought I'd finally knock down the shyness wall and share them here as well.

Crocheted Cupcake Containers

One for you, one for me!
I made these to give as Christmas gifts to the girls at work. Yeah, I know it's April and I'm just now posting them. Give me a break, I'm in grad school. :-)

Anyway, not only are they super cute little cupcakes (and who doesn't love cupcakes - especially chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles!) but they are actually little containers. The "frosting" part is the lid and the "cake" part is the basket. Great to keep on your desk to store little things like paper clips or push pins or loose change. They were super easy and fast to make - except for sewing on the "sprinkles" that seemed to take forever. But worth the effort. They look so much better with sprinkles. I bought the pattern from Etsy seller Craftyjoy, which I would link to but she seems to have closed her Etsy store. What a shame. Anyway, thank you Craftyjoy, wherever you are!

Deanna's Ruffle Scarf
I also made three ruffle scarves for Christmas presents. They are made from Caron Bliss yarn. This one is in Copper. The other two were Jade and Plum. The yarn is amazingly soft and fuzzy and the colors are really vibrant. This photo doesn't really do the color justice. The pattern is available here and is OMG so easy! I didn't get a good picture of them where you could see how long they are, but they are about 5 feet long maybe? Give or take.

Bunny Love
Bunny Love's Butt
I gave Bunny Love as a thank you gift to my professor for writing a letter of recommendation for me for grad school. He is made from Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn and stuffed with cotton batting. Since he is for her new baby, I was hoping to make him using all cotton but his tail is some polyester blend stuff I found in the clearance bin. He is about 15 inches tall and super floppy as all stuffed bunnies should be. Looking at him now, he seems naked. He could probably use a mouth and maybe a scarf around his neck but oh well. The baby won't care, right? I found the pattern online and I'd credit the source but the link I have is outdated now.

Ari
This is Ari, the amigurumi alien. He is the first amigurumi project I attempted and it probably shows. I found the pattern online also, but I have no idea where now. I don't know why I'm not putting mouths on any of my little guys. Let's just call it my signature, shall we? :-)

Harriet Hippo
I wasn't going to post this one because I am so not a sewer, but she's kinda cute so what the heck! She's not very big, maybe 3 or 4 inches high. I found her in The Cute Book, which is chock full of cuteness. Oh, that I had time to make all the little critters that book contains! The long eyelashes and the bow were my own creative genius. ;-)

If you've read this far, thank you for checking out my stuff!
