I made this cupcake from a pattern I found online, and while I could have made both a bigger base and a smaller top, I decided to turn the top into...

...a jellyfish (of course!)

Unfortunately, I admit that the pink is not the best color for it... it does resemble a bit... yeah. But I still like him - the tendrils and underside were just done free-form, so he's one-of-a-kind.

I'd love any links you have to other (yes, preferably free!) patterns for underwater critters - I've done the octopus and have a lobster pattern from a book, but would love some coral, seahorses, and good fish patterns. We have a spare fish tank and I'm thinking it would be neat to set it up and fill it with crocheted sea life. We'll see. :D
