Sewing & knitting
Aug. 26th, 2008 07:26 amA friend it getting married this weekend and I get to be one of the bridesmaids.
So I made my bridesmaid dress

Thanks to this tutorial, http://rowena.typepad.com/rostitchery/infinity-dress.html
The fabric is a satin blend I think, with only a little stretch. In hindsight I'd have made the straps a little longer as currently they don't wrap very far, but just enough. This is the largest serious project I've seen since Cegep, so I'm pretty proud.

The pattern is Bob&Weave from knitty.com, using Lang silkdream in white and some white satin ribbon. Its a finer yarn than the patter calls for so I worked in 7 instead of 5 stitch sets between drops.
I didn't make the plushie, he's a prefab. I made thie little tux, at the request of the BTB.
