money lei graduation gift

Now that I finally got a picture of what I made for my bro's high school graduation (some of my family members are not high tech), I can post!



I made my little brother a money lei!

To make the so called 'flowers' of money I simply folded the dollar bills accordion style widthwise. I tied each dollar bill in the middle using curling ribbon, leaving enough curling ribbon on the ends to make long curls. I stuck together two of those using double sided tape and then fanned them out.

The paper 'flowers' are done the same way. 

I used regular silk ribbon to string the flowers together.
