Crafts of Christmas Past
Dec. 9th, 2008 11:24 pmA mask for my Dad and a Sparkly Thing for my parents...

The mask is made from Crayola Model Magic, the handle is bamboo. It's painted using acrylics and the whole thing is held together with a tonne of hot glue.

The Sparkly Thing is made using a large glass test tube, wire and various beads, plastic 'rocks' and a small metal 'laugh' from the scrapbook section of the dollar store. The stopper is a carved wooden acorn.

I also have a question for all of the crafters out there...
How do you feel about people borrowing / being influenced / inspired by your ideas and making their own versions of things you've posted?
I'm not talking about making things to sell, but rather making things to give as gifts, or making things just to see what would happen if you did something different.
I've seen many wonderful craft ideas out there and have often found myself thinking 'I could make that, but I wonder what it would look like of I changed the way the legs are done, or the shape of the head or the fabric used to make it...?'
