I know some of these crafts are old news, but hey, they're new to my family--
I'll probably do something more complicated for their birthdays, when I have more time to focus on each individual.

Record bowl for my brother (I made another for my sister, but didn't get a picture of it).
The bowl is filled with some peppermint bark that I bought from a lovely woman
back in my tiny college town. Hooray for handmade candy!
I also threw in an origami crane, for good measure.

I helped my youngest sister make this for my brother. It was her first time making
beads from polymer clay. I contributed the green beads and helped her tie the slipknot.

I also helped her make these earrings for our other sister.
I think she did a pretty good job (with a little help) for 12 years old!

...and we also made this bracelet, while on our bead-making extravaganza.
I haven't done polymer canes very much, so it's a little rough-looking.

I folded these lillies last night at midnight for my mom and dad's stocking.
...This was my most intricate gift, a handmade sketchbook book for my Dad (he's an architect):

My dad used to sing that song to me at bedtime when I was a wee tot.
The image on the back is from a hike this summer)

I used coptic stitch because I wanted it to lie flat when he was drawing, and I decided
to make multimedia signatures--I used a gorgeous medium-weight drawing paper,
brown paper, tracing paper, and cheap cream-colored construction paper.
I think it'll be really suited for charcoal, or pen and ink.
I also drew a dragon poster for my sister (she's obsessed with fantasy right now), but I
haven't scanned it yet! Thanks for looking.
