Fimo chibis

Hello, I really hope someone can give me some advice!
I use Fimo to sculpt little chibis and such. They usually have wild, springy bangs that hang in front of their eyes (intentionally :P) The problem: after baking I want to paint them. But I can't reach beneath the bangs :(
So, my question: is it possible to bake it without hair, paint the eyes with acrylic paint, add the hair and bake it again? I should just try it, but my mom really hates it when I bake things, so I try to do it only when I'm sure the sculpture thingie is according to my wishes.
Another thing I considered was adding the eyes as fimo themselves. It worked, but they really look 'bulgy'. It looks fine from the front, but from the side it looks kinda icky. Plus, the ones I tried that on were larger than what I normally do and it seems awfully fiddly to do it with sculptures the size of my thumb :o

No eyes yet :( See those little spiky bangs?

This one was unbaked at the time.

Fimo-style eyes.

So, advice? Tips? It's all appreciated ♥

And: a painted bag :P I like drawing chibis, bet you didn't notice that XP
