Totebag made from a pair of jeans

a. Take a pair of jeans, and cut them straight across, right above the crotch in a clean straight line, both front and back.
b. Turn inside out and pin together at the bottom, then sew either by hand or machine. (if this is going to be a bag that's going to be used heavily, I highly recommend machine sewing)
c. Find a fabric that you would like to use as the handles - either can be from the leftover legs, or a contrast medium to heavy weight fabric. Again, don't use a fabric that's too light, especially if you want to use this bag a lot! Make handles any way you like - long for shoulder bag, medium for under the arm bag, or short for a handcarry bag. Measure how long you want them to be according to your own body and how you like bags to fall - just make sure you make both handles exactly the same length, if you decide to use two handles.
d. Pin into position on the underside of the waistband, and sew using a stitched box with a little "X" stitched through it at each point where the handles connect with the bag. (two points for just one strap, four points for two strap style.
