10 minute birthday card!
Jul. 23rd, 2010 12:03 pmSo, I really had, like, no time to make a nicey nice scrapbook-y card for my friend Joey, since he's in the Navy and his wife had to send everything off by this morning so she was asking people to write/draw little cards/notes for him and scan them in and she was just going to print them all off and send them.
Well, me being a lousy friend coupled with being extraordinarily busy left me with almost no time to get crafty. SADFACE!
Anyway, the other day, I saw a cute t-shirt that said "I [picture of mustache] you a question, and I totally ripped it off for this birthday card. I wanted the lettering to seem like a kid had made it, so I free handed all the letters without guidelines in ink (I'm really terrible at lettering so I have to block each letter out with a ruler and pencil and then go over them in ink if I want them to look nice). Taking that theme and kind of running with it, I colored each letter different and outlined the 'stache, too.
Hope you likey! hahaha
