I'm feeling very proud of these gifts I made for Christmas this year, and I want to show them off, in this, my first post!

First, a bracelet - which was also my first real foray into using wire, clasps and crimping beads. I tried to make a two-strand version of a tutorial from Auntie's Beads - it didn't quite turn out as I'd hoped, but the waves make it different.

Second, a set of ornaments I painted for a friend and his family. Each family member got a personalized ornament, which were also numbered in birth order. They just adopted a little girl, so this was a gift to mark their first Christmas as a family of six.

Acrylic craft paints on those cheap glass ornaments you can get for $2 at Target.

This place is very cool, and I've enjoyed seeing everybody's creations - I couldn't wait to join the fun!

(PS I wanted to tag this, but LJ wouldn't let me. Is this just because I'm a newbie, or have I missed something?)
