As some of you are very talented jewelry makers, perhaps you can help me.  I have a pair of small pearl earrings.  The pearl has come off one; fortunately it was while I was putting it on, so I have the pearl.  It's on a small gold backing.  What can I use to stick it back on that won't hurt the pearl and will hold it for another 30 years or so?  (That's how long I've had them.)  Or should I take it to a professional jeweler to repair?
