Vintage 50's Apron
Mar. 1st, 2011 02:33 pmI made this a few weekends ago from a vintage pattern I bought on Etsy. In true vintage style it expected me to hand sew the entire thing, including the 8 YARDS of eyelet lace. Riiiight.
It took me about an afternoon to make it, and I'm very pleased that I took the time to make it machine-washable. There are a few minor things I'd change, but all in all I'm happy.
The reason I made it is because I host costume contests at several local gaming/anime conventions. I wanted something dressy/costumey, but not over-the-top. I thought a 50's Housewife was perfect.
Ps, sorry about the crappy picture. I couldn't wait any longer to post this. lol!
