So I made this pretty thing the other day.

Tutorial
Rip or cut 10 2 1/4 inch wide by 54 inch long strips out of pure cotton.

Fold strips in half and stitch 1/4 inch from folded edge using the largest (basting) stitch on your machine.

Pull the thread gently gathering the strips evenly and tie off the threads of both ends.

Starting at one end, roll your gathered strips, hand stitching from the wrong side every 1/2 inch or so.

Check the right side of your flower to see how it's looking every so often. You may want to loosen or tighten the roll as you go along.

The back should look like this when it's finished:

And the front should look like this.

For your pillow form, cut two pieces of fabric 21 X 13 inches. Arrange your flowers on one of the pieces in a way that makes you smile and say 'Oh! Pretteh!' and then pin them in place.

Cut 10 circles about 1/2 inch smaller than your flowers out of a sturdy interfacing or you can just use a stiff fabric. This will reinforce your cover fabric when stitching on the flowers.
Place your reinforcing fabric circles on the wrong side of the pillow cover under each flower base and stitch your flowers from the wrong side of the fabric starting in the center of the circle. Like this:

With right sides together, pin and then stitch the front and back pillow pieces together, sewing a 1/4 inch seam all around but leaving about 4 inches open on one side.

Clip the corners, turn the pillow right side out, and stuff.

Pin and stitch the opening by hand or machine.

Done. Go have tea and admire your pillow.
