crafty computer software rec's?

Hey Craftgrrls~
I am looking to buy some computer software to make some things for an upcoming craft show.
I have purchased a graphic set on etsy that contains an avatar, etsy banner, and business card design. All I need to do with this set is add some wording. So I want to be able to do that along with:

make labels
make tags
make business cards
make bag toppers

I have been using a Hallmark Card Studio software program, but after a recent computer crash-I was going to re-install the same old program and then was astonished when I saw it was from 2004!I guess time flies when your having so much fun crafting! The Hallmark program was just easy to use for this time but it has been frustrating me lately in that I would like more choices-like shadowing, shapes and definitely some better graphics-and updated avery label templates.

I was hoping maybe someone could suggest something new and fresh that I could use to make these simple things.

I was thinking of going with Printshop version 23-but the reviews on amazon were so mixed...anyone have any rec's? Thanks :)
